Who You Work With

Three People, No Front Desk

Whoever answers the phone is also the person who will measure your clubs. That is the entire staff directory.

DR
Founder & Lead Builder

Dale Ruthven

Dale grew up on a public course outside Weatherford and spent eleven years doing warranty repair and reshaft work before opening this shop. He has rebuilt more clubs than he has fitted, which shapes how he thinks: the build is the product, and the fitting is how you decide what to build. He handles most driver and fairway wood sessions and does the final gauge check on every club that leaves.

If you want somebody to argue with you about shaft weight for twenty minutes and then show you the frequency numbers that settle it, ask for Dale.

RV
Fitting Lead — Irons & Short Game

Renata Villalobos

Renata came out of collegiate golf and then five seasons of teaching before moving to the fitting side full time in 2016. Her background shows in how she runs a session: she watches the swing before she watches the numbers, and she is careful about the difference between an equipment problem and a technique problem that equipment will only mask.

She runs iron, wedge and putter sessions, and she is the person to see if you are a junior, a returning player, or somebody whose swing has changed enough that the old bag no longer suits it.

WT
Assembly & Repair Bench

Wes Tackett

Wes spent nine years at a high-volume repair shop in Dallas, which is the best possible training for spotting a bad build fast. He handles reshafts, regrips, loft and lie work, ferrule replacement and every swing weight adjustment in the shop. He is also the one who writes most of the dockets, which means his handwriting is on file for a good share of Tarrant County.

Bring him a club that feels wrong and he will usually have found the reason before you finish describing the miss.

Booking a specific bench: put the name in the notes field when you reserve a slot. Nobody here is offended by a preference, and it helps us schedule around cure times.
